IG Sport Slash In-Running Spread Sizes Ahead of Euro 2008
LONDON, June 5 /PRNewswire/ — Spread-betting firm IG Sport have given home nations football fans
something to cheer this summer by slashing their most popular in-running
football spread sizes by as much as half for matches in this summer’s Euro
2008 tournament.
The firm are cutting spread sizes on their headline markets of goal
supremacy and total goals from 0.2 to 0.1 and their shirt number spreads from
three to two; while continuing to offer a reduced three point spread on
bookings. The reduced spreads will be available in-running on all euro 2008
fixtures.
“We know ‘making the cut’ has been a sensitive subject with football fans
this season, however we hope our ‘making the cut’ may go some way to
softening the blow of no home representation in euro 2008 for spread
clients,” said Head of IG Sport Stuart Lane.
“With these cuts we now boast to making the most competitive in-running
spread sizes in the industry and not having to rely on others for liquidity
for these markets, we reckon we’ll be offering clients the very best
in-running match service available on euro 2008.”
IG Sport will continue to offer a 0.2 spreads on total goals and goal
supremacy and a three point spread on shirts prior to kick-off of games. The
firm also offer over 200 in-running markets on all live televised games.
